(Benz) tet 28" M. Dor. (Shield Of Valor X Tet Ruffled Perfection) When fellow hybridizers Dan Trimmer and Matthew Kaskel first viewing this cultivar in 1998, they pronounced it the finest yellow daylily they had seen! They have both since guested it in their Florida gardens, where it has proven a lackluster performer. It is just too dormant for those of you who live in the deep south. But here in Ohio, this big 7" bright lemon-yellow with 4" petals and 2 3/4" sepals remains a stunner. Beautifully ruffled with very heavy substance and great fragrance. One of the few hard-dormants we got from Tet. RUFFLED PERFECTION, and one of the few to have branching. Great branching, in fact, and with 2-3 lateral branches, and a bud-count of 25+, this makes for a magnificent clump. Very difficult to use both ways, but I have gotten seeds from both pod and pollen. $75.00
