Seldom does a cross go exactly as planned. One of our best formed and also one of our largest purples, this 6" royal-purple with small lime-green throat has it all; a total package. Round and ruffled, with very wide sepals, rare in a purple, this dusky beauty holds its velvety sheen in hottest sun. 30 or more buds are spread out evenly on a huge thick scapes with 3-4 lateral branches and a terminal cluster. Scapes are ramrod straight, and very strong; foliage is huge, blue-green, and arches nicely. When established, this is one magnificent clump of purple. Fertile both ways; pods are very difficult. $100
