Celestial Court
tet 30" M. Dor. (Tet. Siloam Virginia Henson X T. Barbara Mitchell) With so many excellent small eyed tetraploids competing for market space, I was a bit reticent to introduce another Tet. SILOAM VIRGINIA HENSON seedling, but this 41/2" pastel peach- pink with blushing eye in deeper rose, and its perfect form, is, in a word-exquisite. Flowers are the most compact and perfect- ly round of all the sibs, including SILVER SALUTE. Add beautiful ruffling, a gold wire-edge, and wonderful tree branching, with 30-35 buds, and you have it. Large, arching blue-green dormant foliage, won- derful fragrance, and seldom-seen consis- tency complete the picture! Always perfect despite cold nights, and occasionally reblooms. Fertile both ways, much easier than SILVER SALUTE, but we used it less due to its softer eye. First kids bloomed in 2000, and the only problem we encountered was in selecting any culls. Every seedling from CELESTIAL COURT was beautiful, and many had very precise pencil-stitched banded patterns. We have begun to use this with our large flowered pinks to re-coup branching and other amenities $100.00 (Benz)
