![]() Northern Jewel
tet 28" M. Dor. (Janet Benz X Tet Neal Berrey) NORTHERN JEWEL is the first rose-pink introduction from Tet. NEAL BERREY, and was bequeathed great color, ruffling and overall finish by its famous parent. Plants are big and strong, with beautiful wide and arching deep-green foliage, much like JANET BENZ, only prettier and bluer in color. Scapes are straight, and strong, with 3-way branching, 28-30 buds, and NORTHERN JEWEL blooms progressively, rather than multiflora, allowing for a very long and protracted bloom season. A full 6" in size, noticeably larger than JANET BENZ, and a much more intense shade of brilliant rose. NORTHERN JEWEL is sensational as a garden subject and is already proving a grand parent for big, ruffled blooms in all shades of pink and rose. Fragrant and fertile both ways; pods are a bit difficult, but with persistence, we were able to set even the hard-to- use induced pollens, like THELMA ELAINE. $200.00 (Benz 2001)
