CRANBERRY FIELDS FOREVER

tet 28" M. Sev. [Creative Edge X (Tet Siloam Virginia Henson x Angel's Smile)] From its maiden bloom, this has been compared by many to a cranberry eyed and edged version of STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOR- EVER. One of the most admired eyed and edged daylilies for the last two years, this 5" soft rose with high contrast red eye and bold braided red edge demands attention. Scapes are straight and strong with 3-4 way branching and a bud-count of about 30. Foliage is deep blue-green and very vigorous. Needs no winter protection, and in fact is almost dormant here, although it will be full evergreen in the south. Also, I suspect I am only seeing a shadow of its full potential here, and it will probably ex- hibit far better branching as its heads further south. Fertile both ways, and proving a wonderful parent for brilliant red eyes and braided edges. $150.00 (Benz 2001)
