(Benz) tet 36" M. Dor. (Janet Benz X Lilac Glow) LAVENDER MYSTIQUE was selected as the very best flower and plant from a large cross of its two great parents. This 6" deep lavender is larger, flatter, and heavier than either parent, and is possessed of phenomenal vigor. Very heavy, round and beautifully ruffled, LAVENDER MYSTIQUE is always open flat to gently reflexed by dawn, a rarity in nearly all purples and lavenders, and few others possess the substance found in this cultivar. Color is a smooth, waxy lavender with a very clean pale green throat, which holds. Plants are huge with beautiful foliage, and big strong scapes with 4-way branching and 30+ buds. We began to appreciate LAVENDER MYSTIQUE even more when we moved it late in the year 2 seasons ago, and it lay on top of the ground in a bare-root clump all winter, only to bloom the following July more beautifully than ever before!
