COSMIC ENVOY

(Benz) tet 30" M. Ev. [(Janet Benz x Angel's Smile) X Tet. Solomon's Robes] This 6" sultry deep purple beauty is unique from nearly all other purple tetraploids in commerce by virtue of its exotic pedigree and also its intense emerald green throat. Though similar in color and overall plant structure to its hard-dormant sibling REGAL ENVOY which was introduced last year, this fully evergreen purple is possessed of a smoother more saturated shade of purple, and has no halo, veining or other distractions. Also, the petals are embroidered with fancy purple lace and fine braiding, the fringe being the same color as the segments. Plants are huge, with beautiful arching foliage and needs no protection here, though increases much more slowly than its dormant sib. The scapes are a study in perfection, and blooms are displayed on "queen-of-show" branching; the best I have seen on a purple, bar none. Bud-count can soar as high as 35, and with enough water, this one re-blooms. There you have it….a 6" purple self unrelated to all purple tet lines and possessing a lacey fringed edge, but coming from no direct fringed edged parents. Extremely important as a parent and as a garden subject as well. Occasional rebloom. $100.00
