WHIRLING BALLERINA

(Benz) tet 36" M. Dor. (Chance Encounter X Oh Great One) Round, ruffled and extremely heavy, this silky deep pink is also a breakthrough for branching and vigor in my pinks. These 5" flowers are borne on huge candelabra branched scapes, and often exhibit 3-4 perfectly placed blooms, "queen-of-show" style. Plants are huge and vigorous, with arching blue-green foliage; scapes boast 4 lateral branches and a widespread terminal cluster, and bud-count can soar as high as 45. WHIRLING BALLERINA loves full sun, and in hot weather, becomes even more luminous and sports a glistening gold filigree edge. One of our favorite pinks, and a testimony to its 2 great parents. Very fragrant and fertile both ways, though pods are difficult. $200.00
