RUBY CORONA

(Benz) tet 36" M. Dor. (Rolling Thunder X Royal Gypsy) ROYAL GYPSY has proven a fabulous parent time and again, but in producing RUBY CORONA it truly outdid itself. Of all my line of edged reds, this has the best deep ruby red color to date, and the largest and finest plant as well. A perfectly circular, heavily ruffled 4 1/2" deep velvety ruby red embellished with a fine but very pronounced snow-white picotee border. Throat is deep green. Heavy and sunfast; unique in its class for both color and substance. Foliage is so lush and scapes are so thick and strong to be nearly out of proportion for the pony sized bloom; but since we are aiming for 6" flowers, we consider that a plus! 4-way branching with 35 buds round out this portfolio. Fragrant and reblooms. Fertile both ways and a magnificent parent, throwing clear deep reds with huge white braids and shark's teeth. $200.00
