JANET'S MAGIC
(Benz) tet 30" M. Ev. [(Glittering Elegance x Angel's Smile) X Ida's Braid] Janet spied this 51/2" jewel before me and claimed it as her own. Thus the name JANET'S MAGIC. Color is a very stunning shade of deep purple, with a paler violet watermark, shaded blue, around a large bright green throat. A bubbly gold picotee border further embellishes this fancy bloom. Holds well in the sun, but fades somewhat by day's end and then the bluish tones become clearly evident. I never used this enough as it doesn't posses my preferred circular form, but the few seedlings I bloomed were spectacular. The best one sports a 5/8" braided gold border. Others have triple eyezones and various patterns. Needless to say, I used JANET'S MAGIC extremely heavily last summer, and will use the pollen again this year. Plants are evergreen and only medium in size, but vigorous and need no winter protection at all here. Scape's are nice and branching varies according to the season. In a good season, it will have 3 laterals and a terminal cluster, with 25 buds or more. In a poor season…less. Easy parent both ways and destined for greatness. I want to thank Matthew Kaskel for introducing the incredible IDA'S BRAID, and for his incredible generosity over the years. Without his help and guidance I would have no edged program.       $200.00
