(Benz) tet 30" M. Dor. [(Joe Marinello x Custard Candy) X Tet. Wings of Chance] In a cross of 25 siblings, most were reminiscent of Tet. WINGS OF CHANCE, and 12 were big 6" yellows with red eyes; while 12 were yellow with eyes from in various shades of purple. This 5" beauty was the only one that harkened back to its CUSTARD CANDY ancestry, and had the most beautiful bloom as well as the very best scape in the cross. Bloom pictured here is on a small plant, and this can be beautifully ruffled, with better form and a much more pronounced gold edge. Oh well, if you like RUBIES WINK as shown, you will love it on an established plant. The color is an extremely clear ivory cream, with an eye of the most intense shade of red I've seen in an eyezone, including the kids from Tet. DRAGON'S EYE. Scapes are straight and beautifully branched, with 3-4 widely spaced laterals and a terminal cluster, and a bud-count as high as 40. Can display 4 blooms up and out for that "Queen-of show" trophy.
