REGAL ENVOY

(Benz) tet 30" M. Dor. [(Janet Benz x Angel's Smile) X Tet. Solomon's Robes] The first seedling to be introduced from the tetraploid conversion of Dave Talbott's wonderful SOLOMON'S ROBES, and ROYAL ENVOY is one of our favorite purples. As luck would have it, the best seedling in the cross proved to be a northern hard dormant, although we are releasing the evergreen sib in 2005. This 6" rich violet purple beauty took color and form from its wonderful induced parent, along with its bright green throat. Dormant plant habit from its pod parent. Branching comes from both sides, and is superb. This is a wonderful all-around plant, with foliage, scape, and branching all in perfect harmony. 30 or more of these bright purple blooms are displayed to perfection atop 4-way branched show scapes. Very sunfast for a purple, and is little changed by a day in full sun. A wonderful parent with a totally unique pedigree. Fertile both ways, but needs shade for pods. $100.00
