LEMON FRISBEE (Benz) tet 36" M. Dor. (Athenian X Tet. Siloam Harold Flickinger) This 5 1/2" dazzling electric lemon yellow sets the standard for color in this class. True lemon yellows are becoming an endangered species, as the current crop of fancy yellows are all, in fact, polychromes, or blends of cream, yellow and melon. I grow only 2 other yellows that rival LEMON FRISBEE for clarity and brilliance of color, LEMON DAZZLER and ELECTRIC MELODY, but neither of them is even close to this one for perfection of form. Absolutely circular and perfectly flat, this frisbee shaped beauty has seldom seen carrying power in the garden. In warm weather LEMON FRISBEE often blooms fully double. I have bigger and more ruffled yellows, but none can rival this screaming lemon beauty for drawing a crowd. Beautiful blue-green foliage, but slow to increase. Scapes are straight and can have 3-way branching one year with 22 buds, and be top branched with 15 buds the following season. Very fragrant and fertile both ways and heavily used here for the last 2 seasons. Wonderful parent. FALL ONLY $100.00
