tet 30" M. Sev. (Shield of Valor X Tet. Emerald Splendor) The seedlings from Tet. EMERALD SPLENDOR were remarkable in so many ways. First, as a group they were much larger than I expected, rivaling the Tet. RUFFLED PERFECTION kids for sheer size. The progeny from EMERALD SPLENDOR were far more consistent and displayed incredible uniformity as to color, form, and overall quality. Most displayed excellent branching and held the blooms outfacing for a dramatic display from a distance. MALACHITE SPLENDOR has proven the best of all these sibs and half-sibs, and is the only one selected for introduction at this time. First blooms on this round ruffled beauty are over 6" in diameter, and always extremely flat to reflexed in form. A pale creamy lemon yellow with a very intense deep green throat that radiates far out onto the segments, often imparting a chartreuse glow to the entire bloom. Branching is superb, with 3 lateral branches, a split terminal, and a budcount of 30 or more. Very fragrant and fertile both ways, but not an easy pod-parent. FALL ONLY $200.00
