Evergreen, but was truly spectacular in the first year seedling bed, and has grown more beautiful and better branched with each passing season. In 2005, TRACES OF RED had 4-way branching and 25 buds per scape and then re-bloomed. Very heavy and extremely flat this 6" beauty is done in a clear shade of lemon-yellow with a red banded eye and a picotee border in ruby red. Throat is brilliant lime-green and makes for a stunning ensemble. Fragrant and fertile both ways. Heavily used here in breeding for clear yellow eyes with red edges.
